Konrad in a Van in the Parking Lot

One of the biggest challenges in producing a show like the WGN Morning News is finding a recurring segment that's consistently popular with your audience. Sometime in late 2019, I went to Paul Konrad and asked him if he'd be willing to drive a creepy van around the WGN parking lot, harass our coworkers, and let us record it all and put it on television. He said yes. The segment was a smash hit, breaking multiple internal metrics beyond anything the universe had ever seen. Here is the clip show version of the segment, featuring yours truly.
