Eye on Illinois: Death Penalty

In May 2011, the Illinois legislature voted for - and Gov. Pat Quinn signed - a bill to abolish the death penalty in Illinois. I had been following the story since January of that year. As the legislative session wrapped up in May, I did some additional interviews and crafted a 27 minute radio documentary that followed the process, the participants, and the many viewpoints surrounding the controversial law.
